Men Of No Property - England's Vietnam

The name "The Men of No Property" is taken from a statement made by Wolfe Tone who is onsidered the father of Irish Republicanism: "The Men of No Property shall liberate Ireland.". It is not an album of rebel songs, more a social history and gathers only a small, yet important sampling of Folk songs detailing the hardships and historical events that occurred whilst still retaining a sense of  humour. The Men of No Property are Belfast born Barney Mc Ilvogue, Brian Whoriskey and Irene Clarke, Belfast college students in 1969, who took part in civil rights protests and marches in Northern Ireland.
