Ron Gonnella was without doubt a very fine fiddle player and his 1976 album Fiddle Gems is one of his best. The tune selection here is very interesting and includes tracks i had never heard before. Top Scottish fiddlers such as Duncan Wood and Gregor Borland have spoken of their admiration for Ron Gonnella;s skills and techniques.
